ARE Animal Rescue operates two primary locations and several catteries inside of PetSmart stores.

Banning Animal Shelter houses all of our dogs, and supports the city of Banning with taking in stray animals of all kinds.
Hours: 10am-4pm, closed Sunday and Monday. Fill out questionnaire and make an appointment in advance of your visit.

The Hemet location is the first location and primary HQ for cats.
Hours: 10am-5pm, closed on Tuesday. Adoptions by appointment only. Fill out questionnaire and make an appointment in advance of your visit.

The cattery locations help support cat adoptions, and occasionally these PetSmart and Petco locations are used for weekend dog adoption events.

At catteries, volunteers are available to help answer questions, allow meet and greets, and perform adoptions at specific times:
PetSmart Cattery Volunteer Hours: Evenings, 6-8pm. Saturdays, 9-11am and 6-8pm. Sundays, 10am-11am and 4pm-6pm.

Oceanside PetSmart Dog adoption events: Saturdays 11am-4pm
