ARE Animal Rescue operates two primary locations and several catteries inside of PetSmart stores.

Banning Animal Shelter houses all of our dogs, and supports the city of Banning with taking in stray animals of all kinds.

Hours: 10am-5pm

The Hemet location is the first location and primary HQ for cats.

Hours: 10am-5pm, closed on Tuesday

​

The cattery locations help support cat adoptions, and occasionally these PetSmart and Petco locations are used for weekend dog adoption events.

At select catteries, volunteers are available to help answer questions, allow meet and greets, and perform adoptions at specific times:

Oceanside PetSmart Volunteer Hours: Mornings, 9-11am. Evenings, 6-9pm. Sundays, 10am-11am and 4pm-7pm.

At other catteries, a store employee can assist you with your adoption after your application has been approved. Hours match that of the corresponding PetSmart/Petco.
