Volunteer onboarding and training is required before you can begin volunteering for shifts at ARE Animal Rescue. Our Volunteer Team will be in contact with you soon after your application is submitted to help guide you to activities that best fit your schedule commitment, availability, and interests. Our team works hard to ensure each volunteer understands and partners with us in achieving our organization's goals.
Volunteer opportunities include:
-Animal care at our main sites in Hemet and Banning
-Dog walking at the Banning location
-Cattery care shifts at our remote cattery locations
-Adoption event help at our PetSmart and Petco partner sites on select dates
-Transportation help, especially to cattery locations
-Remote support with administration and volunteer coordination
-Social media content creation
Submit an online volunteer application, which includes signing a volunteer agreement and a Release and Waiver of Liability form.
Get matched to volunteer opportunities by our team
Complete a volunteer event, such as adoption event, volunteer training or cattery care shift.
Be able to work independently and meet the volunteer requirements.
Attend any additional training sessions required by ARE Animal Rescue.
Volunteer at least once a month.
Treat all animals with kindness, and concern for their well being.
Represent yourself and ARE Animal Rescue in a professional manner. Treat clients, staff and other volunteers with respect.
